Why am I offering these classes to you in so many ways?

Well, I realize, as hairdressers, we are Visual Learners, so being able to actually see and hear the presentations are very important to us.

But also, statistics have shown that if we only listen to something we will only retain about 20 to 30% of the information we receive. But if we see it, hear it, and read it, we will retain up to 90% of this valuable information.

In fact, it has been proven that if you listen to something over and over a few times, (even if you're not paying attention ), it will be programmed into your subconscious mind and available to you upon instant recall when you need the information at any time.

Let Me Tell You a Story

I remember once when my daughter, Sienna, was in third grade she had to memorize all of the presidents’ names in chronological order. She was having difficulty doing this even though at school they taught her a little song to sing along with the names, sort of like a presidential jingle to help her to memorize each president.

So in order to help her out, I had her record the presidents’ names into the computer with a different catchy little tune, sort of like a "Presidential Rap Song". Then I took that recording and burned it about 10 times onto a CD. I had her listen to the recording every day for about a week.

When it came time for her to do it in front of the class, she not only did a perfect job, she also gave the class a very entertaining presentation.

If you don't believe this is true, just think about what happens when a song comes on the radio that was popular when you where a kid. I'll bet you still remember every word of that song, even though you never even read one word of the song.

Okay then, so why did I include the workbook -- transcription?

Because I have found that for myself, whenever I really wanted to learn something, I do what I call "Total Immersion Learning".

What the Heck is Total Immersion Learning?

Total immersion learning is a term I use to describe learning something through multiple senses (eyes, ears, touch, smell, etc).

You see, I have learned the hard way that I don't retain information if I just see it one time, hear something one time or read it one time.

But if I can see it, hear it and read it (or best of all, write it) then it's ingrained in my mind forever.

In fact, there has been many times when I have bought a book and then found it on audio CD and, if I was lucky, maybe even found a video on the same subject and have bought all three mediums.

So with this in mind, I wanted to give you as many ways to learn this valuable haircolor information as possible.

First of all, keep in mind that most haircolor educational DVDs are about doing the latest cool haircolor trends.

Nothing wrong with that, but after the trend is over, this information is useless and that $100-$150 you spent on these DVDs is gone forever and so is the "trend".

My DVDs are Different.

First of all, I don't teach trends.

Why should I?

That's what everyone else teaches.

If the latest trend or wacky foiling technique is what you are looking for, there are plenty of these types of DVDs out there.

So please don't buy my educational programs because you will be disappointed.

"I Don't Teach Trends"

I did in the past ... not any more.

Instead, this is what I teach:

What about haircolor audio CDs?

To my knowledge, there aren't any except for mine.

I did recently purchased a set of salon management CDs by Robert Cromeans... and paid $350.00…they are great but very expensive.

Truth is good education doesn't come cheap and why should it. Those of us producing this information have spent many years paying our dues to learn the kind of stuff that we can teach you to get where we are at without years of trial and error.

And what about the transcription/workbooks?

Haircolor books run the gamut as far as price goes, so you really have to see what you are going to learn for your money.

I can't speak for other haircolor books out there, but the teachings in these books follow the same teachings of my other books. However, it is in more detail because I can talk a lot faster than I can write.
